My Generic Day

Hi hi! I've decided to post a schedule of an ordinary weekday:

about 6:00-- I am woken by Mom, who lets me out
6:15-ish-- I get food! Yay!
6:17-- I chill and wait for all my family to come down, and I try to trick them into giving me more food!
7:20--someone (normally the Alpha) plays with me or wrestles me for a while
7: 25--I am let outside
7:35--I usher my sisters to school, and get paid in treats (score!)
7:50--Alpha and I return home
8:00-- I go on a walk!!!!!! We see other doggies and there are lots of smells and people and ooh! it's exciting
8:45--Alpha leaves me in my den/crate while he goes to work
1:20--Alpha comes back and feeds me! Three cheers for food!
1:30--We take a walk or play outside (I chase a squirrel!!!), and on some days I go to class!!!
2:00--I take an early afternoon nap
3:15--Alpha and I leave to bring little sister home
3:40-- I take another nap... **yawn**
4:00--Somebody plays with me!
4:30--I start begging for food
5-ish--Big sister comes back
6:00--I follow everyone around until they feed me!
6:15--I do whatever...
7:30 to 8:00--Family starts to stare at strange screen with noises but no smells and I try to get Alpha's attention
8:15--I decide to hop up on the couch for attention
8:30--I give up and go lie in my kennel :-(
9:00--I switch sides, and try to look as cute as possible so somebody rubs me on the belly just right... ah...
9:30--Someone lets me outside, and I follow the trail of sneaky raccoons!
10:00--Sisters go upstairs
10:35--Parents let me outside and shut me in kennel, they give me a treat! Hooray!
10:45--I fall asleep
11:30--I dream of squirrels and treats and steak... lots of steak...

More About Me!

Hi! It's Dewey again. I wanna tell you more about me! I'm currently about 11 months old (my family's not exactly sure about my age because I was a shelter puppy) and was born in Kentucky. I was taken in by the 4 Paws 4 You 4 Ever Society, and my family got me when they visited PetCo!

Wait! Is that a squirrel? I'll be right back. **woof woof!**

Anyway, I just looooove my family! The Alpha is nice and playful; I try to please him and my human mommy is really nice to me and she takes me on walks sometimes and it's lots of fun and my bigger sister is calm and I try to impress her and the smaller sister plays with me and pets me and gives me water and stuff. Whew! I'm really excited I just came in from outside and I chased that squirrel and boy! did I teach him a lesson. I need some water!

Let's see... Lessons? Sometimes I go to lessons at Petsmart but really it's more for fun. I have lots of doggie buddies, and I get at least 10.0 treats every time! I haven't gone in a while but my Advanced Class (sounds exiting!) starts later this month.

I think it's time for me to take a nap. Bye-bye!

Who Am I?

I'm Dewey, "son" of Chris & Carol, "brother" of Erin & Katie. I saw that Ranger and Teddy, my friends that I haven't met yet, have a blog (check it out at http://rangerandteddy.blogspot.com), so I thought I would continue the tradition of Dog Blogs! I think this has something to do with Library 2.0, but I'm not sure what (maybe it means I will get 2.0 treats...oh, boy!)

We had my DNA tested (didn't hurt a bit, and I got 1.0 treats!), and the fancy scientists said that I was part Labrador Retriever, part Shetland Sheep Dog, part Keeshond, and part Bassett Hound. We don't really agree with that last one.  Here's my picture...let me know what you think!
